DAY 10: September

Nick grew up listening to “September.” It was one of the many songs that was on the playlist while he did his Saturday morning chores. He recalls that it made the chores go by faster. The goal for this song was to have it released on September 21, 2020 - obviously because of the first line of the lyrics. It was a hard push to make it by the desired deadline, and there were a lot of moving parts, so it was pretty stressful to make it happen in time. Starting with the recording, we really wanted to have live brass. We felt that it was such a huge part of the original recording that we had to have it in ours. Once the recording was finished, our minds focused on the video. Unfortunately, none of us had any firm ideas on what the video should be at first. We really just wanted to capture the true happiness of the song. So we ended up thinking, “Why not just put on some colorful, retro clothes, get some colorful lights and a disco ball, and have hundreds of balloons fall over us!” Enjoy this final day of Behind the Strings!
