DAY 7: TRoubled Soul

“Troubled Soul” is without a doubt the darkest song on our album Better Days. Overall, the feeling of the album is hopeful, joyous, and happy. But this song came so easily and just kind of put itself together that it was a no brainer to put it on the album. Although it is a dark song, we feel that there is a glimmer of hope in it, especially in the choruses. Between the three of us, this our favorite track on the album.

The creation of the music video, however, was a whole different story. The idea of the music video came to us pretty quickly, but the execution of that idea was a nightmare. We tried and failed once, which was a big, expensive, and frustrating situation. It turns out that building your own giant indoor pool doesn’t come easily…
